Write about a time when your parents really surprised you. Did this event or situation seem out of character for your parents? Was this surprise a good one or a bad one? What was your reaction?

one of the surprise I got was that my parents told me we might be moving and I was kinda happy but kinda scared. I do not think that my parents seemed out of charecter because they were look in a different houses at the end of the school year and my parents asked if I wanted to move. I think it was a good and a bad thing because I wanted to move a bit but i would miss all my friends a only see them once and a while not every day at school and on the weekends.  I was really surprised that my parents were thinking of use moving and in ever thought it would happen to me. I was also really sad a did not know if i really wanted to move away from the place i have lived for a long time. I am glad that i moved but i really miss my friends but know i have even more friends to hang ouyt with.

3 minute drill

The was enthrallee with the surprise his parents gave him for his birthday. he got the best party and tuns of amazing gifts. Like a toy truck set, a race track and a new dog. he named the dog jake. all his friends were at the party even the girl he liked. they palyed many games like hot potato, and freeze tag. after it was all over he was sad to see his friends go because he did not want the day to end. but he just relized  that the girl he liked stayed their with him.He was  surprised all after noon the two just a had a blast. after that they played with his dog for another half hour. Then his mom said it was time for her to go home because her mom just called and it was almost time for supper. Not wanting her to leave he asked her if she would want to stay for supper. She said she wanted to but would have to phone her mom. So they phoned her mom and asked and she said yes. The boy was so happy to hear that she could stay. All he wanted his whole life was a chance to talk to her. She was so pretty, he thought he was out of her leauge. He thought to himself, 'I couldn't have asked for a better time to have my birthday. I'm really truly talking to her! This is the best birthday I will ever have!'

After supper the boy and girl decided they would go for a walk. They walked to get a movie and popcorn for the night. They had a blast on the walk. They talked and laughed and pushed eachother in piles of leaves and just had the best time together! When the boy got home he had a really bad pain in his chest. His mom asked if he did anything that might have caused it. The boy couldn't think that he did anything wrong. His mom rushed him to the hospital and the doctor gave them bad news.

There is a new student in class and you are given an assignment. You are required to spend 10 minutes giving him/her advice about surviving at Virden Junior High. What would you say?

1.If you get to pick were you sit it is better if you sit  beside somebody even if they are not the nicest person because it will help you make friends easier.

2.Join some clubs that you might be interested.  There might be people there that have the same interest as you. Like the volleyball team, basketball team, out of school sport like hockey.


3.If you are having troubles with work just ask the teacher and they can give you help, like staying after school, staying in at recces to study.

4.If you are in gym you need to have indoor shoes and gym clothes there is also a fitness run that you have to run a surtton amount of laps . For math always have a calculator. never forget you books because you will have to do push up and then the teacher might not even let you get them.

5.If you do not know were a class room is ask the teacher and they will get somebody to show you or you can follow one of you class mates to the room unless it is french because there is two classes and every grade 8 student are split between them.

6.you can not have your cell phone with you at all but if you need or the teacher needs it for something you can use but you have to keep it in you backpack or at the office.

7.If you want to by a lunch at school you can't you have to order it each week and if you forget your lunch and you can not go home you have to ask the ladies in the life skills sweet for some.If you live in town you can go home for lunch if you would like to.

8.At the end of the day there is a bell to get ready then a bell for the bus kids to get on the bus then the town kids bell rings and every body else gets to go home. after lunch recces you have to wait  for the principal to say the announcements.

9.If people are making fun of you go tell the principal and he can help you and the person that was making fun of you will get in trouble.

10.make sure you get toknow every body in your class because you are in that class for the rest of the year.

report cards

I really hate this years report card because they are in numbers and letters.  I wish could go back to using     percents I liked it that way.  I did pretty good on it. I did the best in french all ones. I only got 5 3's and the rest 1's and 2's.  So I am really happy about it and I know i can improve a lot.

Come Help Make the Picnic

      The paleolithic people to use had picnics every
day because they did not have a house that had walls
to protect them they lived in caves.  Every day the 
were having a picnic but to them they were eating in
there home like normal people would be. So would 
you like to have to eat outside every day and night 
our have a nice warm house to eat in with no danger. 
       When you goon picnics you go out to a campground. 
the Neanderthals looked like they were having a picnic at
a campground. Every single day they have a normal supper
just like that day before that. When they were eating they
never know what kind of animal was watching them and 
wanted the food they had. they would have wished that 
they had a nice house that they were protected in like
yours but it never came true and many died.  So next 
time you eat think of the Neanderthals that had to eat 
outside every day and you get a nice house to eat in. 
   Next time your eating think about the Neanderthals and how
they ate outside every day in the cold and hot weather. How
would you feel if every one got to eat in a house but you I
bet you would feel bad. So be thankful that you don't have
to eat outside every day only when you want to. always remeber
that you are the luky one and you get a house and they did not and
you have a nice place.
 
 

Lets Go "Shopping" in the Field

       The paleolithic people like the neanderthals
did not have stores to go shop "shopping" in
the fields for food. The womanat. They went       
would go out and pick berries, nuts, fruits, and
eggs. The children had to go out  and help too.
The men went out and killed the animals that
were young or old, so they were easy to kill.
So would you rather go out in the field, and
pick fruit, and berries, or shop at the store?

   The neanderthals had no choice in the matter,
so  they did it all by hand. You think your life is
hard, but theirs was harder. While they were
picking the food they never knew what could be
following them. I bet many of them died because
they never knew what was following them while
they were gathering food.
